I have a 1850 with a 354 Perkins. I’m looking for tach drive internals. Also is there any way it can be converted to electronic/digital?

You could try a marine shop. Lots of 354's were in marine service and the physical distance from the engine to a wheel house would have made a mechanical tach difficult. Ask for a tach the runs off the alternator. Only trouble is getting it to fit in the 1850 gauge bezel. I have also seen a few magnetic add on types were you fix a magnetic strip to the dampener or drive shaft, usually a digital gauge. Saw lots of those on fluid pumps in the oilfields (back when there was an oilfield). My tach cable broke last time I pulled the engine on my 1850. I guess I should have disconnected that before I started using the engine hoist.
