New to Olivers

So I've been running my grandfather's Oliver, and I've always loved the old stuff and learning about them, so I was wondering how I could figure out general information about the tractor such as year, model, etc. Thanks.

The specification number is 25-0005, serial number is 48 312-518.

So the 518 at the end of the serial number is the transmission code right? First is a shorter gear? I also have some questions regarding what 2 different levers do?

That remote valve is a very desirable item to have. They're fairly hard to find these days and bring a pretty penny when they're for sale. Good to see it.

The 518 transmission code was the most common.

The knob on the top of the hydraulic valve controls the rate of drop.
The later valves didn't have that because the powers that be decided
that the rate of drop could be controlled with the control lever

Many non- 3 point implements utilize a hydraulic cylinder to raise and lower them. It doesn't look like your tractor has the hoses and connectors it would need, but the implement hoses would be hooked to the
tractor connectors, and the lever on the hydraulic valve shown would be activated to raise or lower the implement.
