1650 hydraulic parts missing

I'm working on a 1650 that I was told the
hydraulic pump went out. After removing
the hydraulic unit I found a hole in the
hydraulic oil pan that I can nearly fit my
hand through. The pin between the 3 point
cylinder and the rockshaft somehow fell
out and was shoved through the oil pan, I
found the pin laying on the bottom of the
rear end. My question is what holds this
pin in position? It appears like their
should be a retainer bolted to the
rockshaft but I cannot find it anywhere. I'm
thinking now whoever installed the
hydraulic pump forgot this retainer??? Can
someone post a picture of the retainer so
I know what I'm looking for?
Thanks

I don't have a picture, but it's only held on one end. It's just a U shaped piece of flat steel that goes over it and has one or two bolts to hold it. It's held on the 3pt end and not in the piston. That's what my memory tells me anyway.

So the retainer must hold the pin up in the rockshaft/rockshaft lever? In the event their is slack in the 3pt the pin stays with the movement of the rockshaft and when the slack is taken up the pin will just realign with the 3pt piston?
Am I on the right track?

That retainer holds the link into the rockshaft lever. If you lift the arms by hand until the lever hits the housing the forward end of the link should not come out of the cylinder. Try it when you get it back together.
