White 2-150 tach

I have a new to me white 2-150 and the tach isn t working. Have a new tach and has a white wire that goes to stator tap on alternator. I can t seem to find the tap it s a delco 3 wire. Any ideas

tractor had original tach and only had a ground wire and a key switched power wire. A wiring diagram would be appreciated if any one has one

It may not have a tach terminal. If it does there will be a third spade where the two alt. wires plug in. That will be your tach output. The early 2-150s had a mechanical tach. When they eliminated the cam
driven engine oil pump and replaced it with an external oil pump they went to an electrical tach. An electrical shop should be able to add a tach output terminal.

Here?s a diagram that has a mechanical drive tach. If your alternator doesn?t have tach terminal then a couple of things could be going on. Alterations I
mean. Some are mechanical and some are electrical.

the alternator only has 2 spades and I don t see a extra wire in the harness.

it does have a external oil pump too
