Brake Housing Shims

I am restoring an Oliver 1600, Yesterday I removed the brake housings from the tractor so I could clean them and paint in that area. I was careful when removing the shims but one shim fell out on each brake housing. I was not certain whether the errant shims belonged to the front or back bunch. So I did a "best guess" and put the shim where I believed it belonged. Assuming that I did not get this right, is this a big deal when reinstalling the brake housings and bull pinion?

It's been a long time since I had one of those apart and it was only once on an 1800.

From your comments I guess these shims are split.

IF so, the front and rear packs should be the same thickness. If not then it will put some stress in housing or somewhere where you don't want it.

I would say you better check it out.
