Oliver 1365 Serial Number and a Year of Production

Hello Everyone, I have been in the process of restoring my father in laws old Oliver 1365 and it?s almost done. I am wondering about it?s actual year.
It?s serial number is 706247 but that number doesn?t appear in any of the charts about serial numbers and year of production that I have found. Does
anyone have any ideas? Thanks
Walter (Prescott, Ontario, Canada)

Well,I can't offer up anything but that there must be a mistake in the serial number listing. My book says the first serial number was 706251. Mine's 714518.

I wonder if there is a difference in the serial numbers of the 1365 models delivered to Canada verses the 1365 models delivered in the US?

Some of these lists just aren't right. The Oliver 500 serial numbers supposedly end at 102 000 meaning 2000 were made, but numbers higher than that have been found. It's pretty well accepted that there were actually 2048 built. There were 2 sent here in 1959 that were mocked up to look like Olivers but didn't have an Oliver tag. I have 100003 and it doesn't have an Oliver tag. It has a brass tag that's been identified as a prototype tag from the David Brown experimental department,so apparently three of them were mocked up. We don't know if number 1 stayed in England or what the deal was.
