white 2-85 oily clutch

guy has 2-85 white and gets rearend/trans oil on clutch. trns input shaft been replaced along withnew trans lube pump and all seals in trans smells as 80/90any ideas?

Does the hydraulic oil keep going down. Could be leaking thru pump seals or pan into differential causing an overfill problem. set a bucket under the diff check plug and see if it is over full.

guy says oil is gear oil, identified by odor. as you know 80/90 has a slightly burned smell to it even when new.he says all seals have been replaced but quickly got oil, on new clutch. guy is professional mechanic so must be something unusual.

If it is 80W90 there is a seal built into the nut on the back of the input shaft to keep the trans. oil from following the PTO driveshaft into the flywheel. Did that seal get replaced?

guy said nut on back of input shaft he double sealed all others replaced and long shaft replaced with top off trans so everything looked correct. my thought was leaking lube line exiting on pto drive shaft in front of the nut/seal..told him to run it without pto driveshaft to see if oil on clutch happened again.
