550 pto spanner

I got the spanner made today. I used a 2?x12? pipe nipple and some 5/16 key stock and a 1/2? extension. I had to grind some out of the inside so it would fit tight. Tried putting a pipe wrench on the pto shaft but it still turned. I have to get another body here to help hold it so I can get the nut off. Progress is steady by jerks, like a frog swims.

Chris,I saw in your other pictures that you hadn't removed the shaft above it. If that's still on there,I think you can use that to hold it can't you?

Thought the shaft would come out, but it didn?t want to come out. I?m gonna try holding the outer shaft with a pipe wrench while I turn the nut.

I held the top shaft with a pipe wrench. I also put a 2x6 board under the spanner wrench to hold it level.
