Depends on the 1800. Some of the early ones were a shaft type steering,the later ones and the 1655 were hydrostatic steering. If the 1800 is hydrostatic,lines instead of a shaft,then they're a direct bolt up.
 
Ya,check it out. I had one of those front ends one time. The more I think about it now,I believe the shaft steer had a rack and pinion that mounted the same as the hydrostatic cylinder so you could switch them,but I wouldn't spend money on one just on my word.
