Hydraulic levers Oliver 1600

I am restoring an Oliver 1600. There are two hydraulic levers next to the seat which contain switches and wiring harnesses. What do the switches open or close-what is their purpose?

They were for HydraLectric cylinders that started with the 66,77 and 88s. There was a cord that went to the cylinder. The cylinders had magnets and stops in them. You would hold a button, get the cylinder to the position where you wanted it to stop for a certain depth with the implement, then you'd let off the button and from then on,every time you lowered the implement, the cylinder would stop at the same depth.

My 1550 and 1850 still have the cords wrapped up and hung on the tractor. My 1600 have been cut off.

I've studied the schematic and from what I can tell when you put the lever in either position the internal solenoids hold it till it hits the stop then releases to neutral. You don't have to hold the lever. Is that correct, Randy? I went through the hydraulic in my 1550 and took out everything to do with hydralectric. Saved the parts though.

My memory sort of foggy. I was thinking that the 2 and 3 digit tractors use a 4 wire harness and that the 4 digit series used a 3 wire harness. If so the cylinder in the picture would be for the 2 and 3 digit series tractors.
