1800 shift fork

The weld that holds the fork to the plate on shift rail broke. Can you get the fork and plate out to weld without pulling motor or hydraulics? Could it be welded in place? Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Tractor have a hydra-power or not? We used to split them! We had a stand made to do that!

yes it has hydra power

Years ago I replace one on a 1900 with out splitting it. It had a hydra power. Dont ask me how I did it now. I know I drove the rods forward and knocked the plugs out. They were a challenge to get back in.
