1655 diesel cylinder head

Hello I have a cylinder head off of a 1655 diesel and it?s bubbling compression out the sides of the head gasket. Does anyone know if there?s a overall cylinder head thickness spec. I have put two new gaskets on this with new head bolts the second time and the machine shop that I went to said it is as smooth as they can cut it and are telling me the head is out of spec. Thanks in advance

What do you mean by "bubbling compression?" Does that mean it's weeping from around the head gasket area when running?

Yes when I bled the injectors there was a little fuel that had
gotten on it that?s how I noticed it right away.

What do they mean "out of spec" Has the engine had new sleeves put in lately? Many years ago we found that had new sleeves had too many shims had put under the sleeves. The sleeve protrusion was too high and that caused gasket problems.

I built the engine at the same time and I checked all the sleeve protrusion and they were all in spec. The machine shop is saying they can t mill the head anymore because too much has already been taken off that s why I asked if there was even a spec for that or if anyone knew what it was. Thanks

Both gaskets were Agco and the second one I put hi tack on it and it still did it. The tractor runs fine it just seeps compression out while running.

Did you re-torque the head after engine was warmed up? I have some small bubbles on my 560 diesel too, until it gets worse, or starts losing coolant I'm not going to worry about it. I think my White 4-78 diesel forklift has some bubbles on occasion also, but starts and runs fine.

Yes

Did you check the block for flatness? I had a 6 cyl do the same thing. The head had been resurfaced earlier. They took off .010" to get the block flat flat. Ended the problem.

Yes it was all in spec

Thank you will try them out.
