588 loader parts

I have been trying to locate parts for the hydraulic cylinders for a 588 loader. Some parts are available thru AGCO Parts but many are discontinued. I have been to every hydraulic store in town with no results. I am in need of the 196 631-A bearing nut and 196 630-A bearing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you have the AGCO dealer do a dealer search for new old stock? I needed a seal kit for a lift cylinder on my 7300 Oliver combine a few years ago. The dealer did a search and came up with a whole bunch of them. He found one dealer who had a dozen of them on the shelf. After half a dozen,he stopped reading off dealer names and phone numbers to me.

The 196631A subs to 1881534M1 which is discounted. Looks easy enough part to make for a machine shop or a hydraulic cylinder shop. Still looking for the other part.

Farm Parts Depot has one of the 1881534M1 in stock in Tennessee. Will have to order it through your Agco dealer.

It does look to be easy enough to build but estimates were in the $300 to $350 range. I don't think a dealer search was done. I will check on that. Thanks for the tips.

Just an update. I have not been able to find a replacement for the cylinder bearing nuts but, we were able to weld repair the damaged portion of the bearing so they could be re-machined to retain the lip seal. The piston o-rings and back-up rings I was able to get Cat replacements using the Cat dealers "One Safe Source" catalog. I also found replacement seals for my ALCO hydraulic control valve from www.herculesus.com a hydraulic system supply source. I am almost ready to reassemble and install the 588 loader to my 550 tractor.
