1365 Differential Lock

I got a chance to put our 1365 on the bush hog and work it a little, and discovered a couple issues
One is the power steering - the fluid level is good, but it's a bear to steer. I've got a manual ordered so I'll see if that helps at all.
The other issue is a bit or a head scratcher - driving on the flat or a side hill to the right is ok, but I you drive with left wheel on the downhill side, the differential lock engages. The first time it happened, I went to make my turn at the end of the field and almost ended up in the hedgerow

My 2WD 1365 got very hard to steer, turns out the bushing in the left front axle had seized to the spindle,because of the loader on it the front was pretty beat so I swapped the whole front out with a very heavy duty front end off a Long/Fiat Super 550.Good time to replace the hoses and fan belt too.Just guessing but sounds like the spring is broke on the differential lock.
 
Two wheel drive I assume? Do they have an actuator on the steering cylinder like the FWAs do? I had to adjust those on mine. It was a bear to steer when I first got it.
 
I know what you mean. I looked for a long time to find one with FWA. That one and my 2-105 would be the last tractors I'd ever get rid of. I know the two wheel drive uses a different steering cylinder but I'm not familiar with it. When I got mine I had a heck of a time loading with it because it steered so hard. Mitch Poindexter told me how to adjust those actuators and it made a good tractor in to a great tractor. They have to be adjusted so the drag link pushes that actuator to start the oil flow and stop the flow when you let off. I tried pulling it up on agcopartsbooks,but for some reason it's only showing me FWA. You used to have to click on a separate link to get to those.
