Hi guys,
I'm looking for some information on a 252 planter. Google hasn't been any help, so I figured that this would be the best place around to ask. I'm mainly an IH
guy, and this is the first Oliver anything I've ever owned and I have no clue where to begin to look for information. Mainly I need an operator's manual, and
some plates if I can find them. The plates in it appear to be edge-drop corn plates. I'd like to find a set of bean plates, and maybe even a set of sorghum
plates as well.
I'd also like to know how to "set" it. I'm sure the manual would tell me, but I can't seem to find one. I can see there are 3 different sprockets on the drive
and driven shafts, along with 3 settings in the gear box. Knowing the right combination for each crop would sure be helpful. I can't really tell how to set the
planting depth, either. So if anyone has a manual I could buy or even photocopy, I'd be most appreciative.
Any ideas and advice will certainly be appreciated.
