Now that I have it running good...its hard to shut off! I push the control lever clear down in "off position" and it just keeps
chugging and might die and might not.....ideas?

If it has an earthing point on the mag, it?s not connecting somewhere? Guessing this is a base mounted mag with manual advance retard? If it is the throttle you are closing, it will likely just keep ticking over. The 90 has a simple switch to short the mag.

My 90 will continue to run even when the impulse coupling on the mag is engaging. Too low to maintain any oil pressure.

Yes - original Mag....manual advance. When I push both levers down all the way- it keeps ticking.... so ?

So it is not shorting out the mag, when pushed fully down. Just needs fixing/adjusting.

Oh, btw, sorry for the error in valve clearance. I meant to put the proper equivalent for 12-15 thous, but was also answering another query at the time and keyed in the wrong figures. 1mm is around 40 thous (in antiquated units). I prefer SI units - but giving answers in metres needs a large power of ten reduction!
