I was just thinking the other day about old Gudde that had an Oliver dealership back in the 40's and 50's. Does anyone remember him? He carried parts up into the early 70's until he passed on. gm

R.w.b. JF, or Franklin, as he was known to everyone that knew him was FE Gudde's son. Your question caused me to do a little research. Apparently FE, (Francis Edward), originally had "Guddes Machinery CO." following the war. I don't know if it was originally an Oliver dealership but I do know that it evolved into an International Dealership that I worked at, for parts of 70 and 71. Francis still sold Oliver parts from his home on the NE edge of Holden at that time. Last I knew, Jim Gudde still ran the dealership on 131. You made me curious about who you are and who bought the 88. I knew Dave Johnson at Latour who pulled a 1650. Great times back then. gm
