1957 Super 55

I need to place a value on a family tractor. It is a true 1957 improved Super. Factory 12V, key start, red wheels. In its work clothes, only front wheels and grille panels have been painted in the past. Usual farm dings, but very straight. Mechanically good, 1500 hours on original working tach, 70% on tires, one rear replaced, other possibly original. Everything works, no remote, or mounted draw bar. What is a realistic price for it? Listings seem to be all over the place, high to low, and parts tractors to restored. Anybody have an actual auction number? Thanks.

Where are you located? A fully functional 550 out here in CA is about a $2-2500 tractor in decent work clothes and good tires, much less if thery're hammered or need work. Other places I've noticed they tend to go for more. Are you trying to gauge value to sell quickly, or for insurance or estate purposes?

Location is Indiana. I bought it from my great uncle's estate years ago. I have sold my land and have no use for it now, so have asked my family if somebody else wants it. I did not get this tractor for free, and have done some repairs and kept it up since I purchased it. I hate for something to sit unused, but if nobody in the family wants to be its caretaker, it will just sit in the barn.

Sounds like mine. I would agree at around $2500 realistically. Maybe a little more if you want to wait long enough.
