Repainting rear wheels on 77 Oliver what color of red do most guys use, without getting special mixed for paint
code.

Nothing else really looks right. IH red is too dark for sure. There are places where you can buy the correct red in quarts. Just Google "buy Oliver red paint". You'll get a lot of hits.

I'll probably get stoned off of the Oliver board, but I used "Regal Red" from Rustoleum on my 88 wheels. It's a working tractor so wanted something I could touch-up down the road. Might be a little dark, but it was different from IH red (so it didn't look like I was painting everything from one can).

Since this photo was taken I've painted the nose with "Tuscan Sun" from Rustoleum and she really looks sharp.

Most any farm and home place has the correct Oliver red. I've seen it in Orscheln's and TSC

Looks good. I use rust oleum also. I think sunrise red and sunburst yellow? Been years since I painted it and held up good. Paint is so much darn money anymore.

I use rustoleum sunrise red too. Dont know if it's right but it's pretty. A guy that is very meticulous about his restores told me about it.

I think I've used MF red in the past as well, but went with the Rustoleum color this time around. Now I'm doubly banished.

Might be the country location that determines Oliver red availability. I can usually get Oliver Green, but have never seen Oliver Red at any of the local farm stores. Around here I'm more able to get IH Blue than Oliver Red. When was IH Blue last used on equipment?

I?ve gotten Tallman?s Oliver red from All States Ag Parts. You can get in in quarts, gallons or aerosol cans. I?ve just begun restoring mine so I can?t say how well it holds up in the long term.
