880 dsl crank into 88 gas

Friend ask me about doing this as he need a crank for an 88 gas and found a 880 diesel crank for sale. thanks

When I first read this post I mistook it to mean crank rather than crankshaft. Man alive, an 880 KD would be a booger to crank. gm

I don?t think so. You could check some bearing numbers to confirm. Pretty sure super 88 and up had bigger rod journals and maybe main journals. Could maybe get around rod journals by replacing rods, but if the main journals are different, your out of luck.
