Not mine but just saw it on the South Bend In. C/L (farm eq.).Sorry if this is bthe wrong bp-lace for this but *I have not Heard of an "A" series and it looks pretty nice

A Series was the one that's referred to as the Checkerboard. They had checkerboard decals on the hood sides instead of the spear with the Oliver 1800 decals on the spear.

Is that picture of an A series 1800?

I thought the A-series 1800's had the throttle lever on the steering column.

The throttle lever in the picture is on the side of the dash, like all the later series 4-digit tractors.

Yes, the 1800 C has the throttle on the side of the dash. That was the tell-tale indicator. Now if anything has been changed over the years... who knows.

I know where there's a gas A Series for $2000. I thought it was gonna be my next project until I had a chance to buy the NOS 66.

Hofferbert Sales in Bannister Mi. It's on consignment. Straight but has been sitting outside on the lot for a long time.
