Looking pretty sharp! I was following your posts when you were going through the process this winter, as I was tearing down my 19. Don't see many restorations with the cab back on them, nice touch.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

I did this job together with my youngest son who is working with me full time for the last 4 years.
W have pretty much 6-800 hrs in this project. It was a big job and I doubt I want to tackle that ever again,..there just seems no end to it.( I did rebuild other tractors before but never this invasive)
total cost in parts only was just over 7 grand CND in bearings seals hydraulic hoses brake and clutch discs(3 speed, PTO) good used crown/pinion/side gears, engine kit, crank grind ,valve grind, new injectors new PTO drive hub and chain and sprockets etc etc.

But it is now a next to new tractor I will ever own.
We did all the work ourself but the crank and valve grind.
The tractor had 17000+ hrs on it before rebuild.
Should be good for another 30 years of haying or what not.
I doubt if live long enough to wear it out again.

I hate tractors without a cab,..cant stand the wind or dust.
I have one 1800 without a cab,..it does not gets used much.

Top notch job, looks really good. I'm not the biggest fan of cabs but on the 55 series a cab is a must so it covers up the fact that the top of the dash and hood
are not the same height.

Incredible job! I would never even attempt it. I sold my future restoration dream Oliver, a 77 orchard, to Oliver Nate. I would never have gotten it done. I still like Olivers the best for that era tractor and I love the Oliver / Cockshutts. I still have my 1550 gas original paint Cockshutt with high speed rear end don't ever plan on selling it, but I said that about the orchard too. Problem is, now your Cockshutt is too nice to use.

Thanks.

I have no use for a tractor to just sit pretty,It will be used for whatever task at hand.
If this one is to nice to use then what about all the new tractors being sold today.

Wow,
I came here in 1980 with wife and kids as the first immigrants of our family.
1 brother came 12 years later.
