Can you still get parts for these like gaskets, injectors, etc? If this has not been rebuilt with the newer parts, is it still worth buying if it runs good?

Yes, you can still get parts. Your second question is almost impossible to answer. "Runs good" could still be accompanied with many problems. I wouldn't shy away from a 1750 if it was in good condition at the right price.

If you look at this picture and look real close, you can see a can of starting fluid sitting next to the seat. From what I have heard , if you have to use starting fluid to start a diesel , then there is something major wrong with the tractor. So I think I will stay a way from this one.

Many tractors came straight from the factory with a cold start kit containing of a can of ether. You're in the market for a 50 year old tractor, so don't let a can of starting fluid scare you away. I would never let a can of ether scare me away. However, I would let an idiot with a can of ether scare me away.
