We finally got the injector pump off. My question now is this: What kind of wrench do I need for the back stud? It's impossible to get to, with a regular wrench.

Thanks.

90deg angle wrench 9/16" I believe. If I remember correctly the nut will not come off all the way with sliding the pump back some.

How did you get the pump off and then you ask about getting the back nut off? I has a Snap on starter wrench I ground down. It worked good.

Pumps with three bolt mounts like some Case and Waukesha I use a custom welded wrench made just for those engines, regular and right angle wrenches don't work. The one I made is about 75 degree angle open end 9/16, cut and welded.

To answer your reply: By the time I was done taking it off, I had a pile of ground and bent wrenches in the floor and I thought the experts might have a solution to my grief. As it turned out, the used pump we bought doesn't work either. And we discovered the steering assembly on the dash is broken at the bottom, pumping oil out. Great fun.

(Here's a note from Cliff's wife/typist: In other words, the tractor is a money-hole)
