How common is a slow speed rear end in a oliver 77, from what I?ve seen it seems most are regular ring and pinion are they considered rare or uncommon?

? The powertrain in an Oliver tractor is identified by a code that is stamped on the serial number plate. ? Fleetline 77 Row Crop tractors had a powertrain code # C-77. ? Super 77 Row Crop tractors had powertrain code # C-77-D or C-2 as a regular speed. ? The Super 77 Row Crop was also built as a "Special Low Speed" and had powertrain code # C-77-C or C-5.

? You can identify which powertrain you have by the last letter and numbers as listed above.   It will be at the end of the Serial Number line (bottom) on your plate.
