John, did you ever do an article in the HPOCA magazine for working on PSB pumps, the screwdriver test and what not? Dad apparently bought a Super 55 diesel today that has been sitting for an unknown amount of time. First things first want to know if the pump is stuck so I know if its safe to see if the engine is stuck.

Un bolt the pump first! Then see if the engine turns over. A reconditioned head with new valve seats and 550 sleeves & pistons would make it a good running tractor.

(quoted from post at 05:17:09 05/05/19) Will do. Thanks!
Take the front cover off. Mark the gear timing bolts in relation to the center bolt. Now you can take the rectangular cover off , take the control linkage out , see iff the control sleeve is free, and you can turn the center bolt and see if the plunger goes around and up and down. The engine is also free from the pump so you can try to turn it.
