88 standard weight bracket

Any idea how much weight I can hang on the 4-5/8s mounting bolts?
I dont want to crack the casting. I have a 3 point fork lift on the back and it's kinda hard to steer when I have a load on. Also wondering what the wheel weights weigh?

I wouldn't be comfortable with that much weight if I were going to be doing something with the tractor like pulling where the front end comes up and slams back down.

I have seen tubs with a chunk broken out there when the bolts supported too much weight and a front end came down hard. It's not hard to make a weight bracket bolted to the flat places toward the front of the tub on both sides. gm

I was going to build it that way but then I remembered I had this bracket off a pulling tractor I bought.

If the holes are tapped to at least half the length of the bolt, I think you'd be just fine. I've seen several pullers with way more than 500# on the front and
have the front end slam down and were fine. Four 5/8 grade 8 bolts can hold alot of weight.

I would guess the bolts went in over an inch. I'm not worried about them breaking. I'm more concerned about the casting. I'm guessing it will hold a few more wheel weights. Hopefully wont be slamming down the front. Maybe I will hang some on the sides.
Thank you for all the responses.

I have always heard the Oliver wheel weights weigh 135 #
Least I hope so as I am changing weights on my stock puller !
