I've owned and run a lot of different Oliver tractors but never had a 66 that ran and operated.Bought one last Fall at an auction looked like someone fixed it up,new wires, alternator, new tires etc.Cranked it and number 4 cylinder was dead.Let it set all Winter last week got to work on it again, valves were adjusted too tight and #4 too tight to let the valves close.Anyway
got it running good, put in a new battery this week I've been using it to pull a trailer and other things around. What a great little tractor starts easy, drives great go down the road in high
gear no front end action like some NF tractors have think I'll hook it to the spare rake when hay season starts. Will Super side curtains fit on this 66? Its missing the front side curtains and the regular side curtains won't work because of the alternator.

The Super curtains will fit,but there's no place to fasten them at the bottom. You'd have to drill and tap some holes in the frame.

my first Oliver purchase, a 66, high horsepower to weight ratio, handy!!!

Just sold a 1951 66 at my retirement sale that was equipped with a super 66 M&W big sleeves and pistons. 3 3/4 pistons and the old pistons were 3 5/16?s if I remember right. I had an alternator on it,
( 6 volts not enough)but the regulator was separate and the alternator fit up against the head, flattened one rib on the right side and you couldn?t hardly tell it had an alternator on it, by the way it turned 41 hp on a Dyno also had a hydraulic system from a super 66 on it, 13.6x38?s , and 600x16?s on front. Tires and wheels were shot when I bought it out of a fence row. Had lots of fun and good use out of it for 30 plus years.
