18-28 or 80

. It has a 80 tag but the motor has been out . Roundspoked wheels , Wheel weights are molded to fit around the spokes. Could it be some new parts and some old parts from the factory? There not cut offs.

What does it say on the radiator?

What does the serial number plate tell you?

I expect it is an 80 engine - it has the variable speed governor and flanged mag.

Air cleaner top might give a clue?

Could well have started life on steels and had pneumatics fitted later.

Casting dates on the engine bock might be enlightening.

They changed the carburettor at some time, too.

It has the small fuel tank and radiator tank like and 18-28. It has the variable speed governor but, that could have been converted like mine was but, mine has a base mount mag. I don't know if any 18-28s came with electric start though. It also has the 80 style air cleaner. What does the tag on the engine say? Almost looks like you have an 18-28-80. LOL
