Sure got mud on the tires quick! I was worried about getting the paint off the front tires , until I looked em over good and realized I will need new ones soon. Should the front ,where the 77 is be yellow too? And the 77 be red?

Yes,that frame stripe should be yellow all the way around the front and down the sides since it appears yours has band brakes.

Nice looking tractor!! I have seen some if your other posts about it. The latest issue of the Oliver magazine was about the 77. You can probably get yourself a copy.

The brake covers on yours, down on the side of the rear end,are they cast or pressed steel? If they're cast, the yellow frame stripe ends at the back of the grill. It they're pressed steel,it goes all the way back like mine does.

Bottom picture, where your brake linkage hooks in. That cover is pressed steel. The ones with disc brakes have a cast cover. Yours would have the yellow stripe the full length of the frame.

Nice looking 77 Grandpa. I have a soft spot for the 77's. We had Oliver's and in the summer time I would spend a week at my cousins, usually during straw baling season. They where FarmAll people but had a 77 for the feeder wagon. But since I wasn't big enough to spend a whole day stacking straw I got to drive the 77 on the baler for the week. Nice tractors!
