For the second time in 5 years, this tractor has a bad head gasket, with leakage between cylinders. We will inspect the head and block for flatness and the liners for protrusion before going forward.
My question concerns the head gasket and head bolts;
1) Would there be an advantage to using a head gasket from a turbocharged Perkins (2-105)? Will it fit?
2) Are the head bolts the same size and quantity on a turbocharged motor as a naturally aspirated motor?
3) Are the head bolts torqued to a higher value on the turbocharged motor versus the naturally aspirated motor?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Rich
