77 Oil Pressure

Have a '50 77 showing low oil pressure. Maybe halfway up on factory gauge when cold but then just into yellow when warm.
Getting good oil delivery to rockers. Filter base is metal rather than aluminum. Has a short brass tube maybe two inches long in filter instead of extended metal tube. Are there different values to these replacement tubes or any other suggestions for raising oil pressure?

You should put a known gauge calibrated and see what the PSI actualy is.

Have switched out with new Oliver oil pressure gauges. essentially reading the same thing overall. Have not done a calibrated gauge. Don't know what I was thinking when wrote into yellow meant into Blue or Green. This using 15-40 oil.

Those things didn't carry very many PSI to start with. If you used a new China gauge,it most likely wasn't calibrated,but rather was made to just look pretty.
