oliver 80 rowcrop

I have a 43 and a 47. They will both pass my 880 in high gear. Hard to believe that the 43 with tip toe wheels goes that fast. All you see is a blur as the lugs go whizzing by.

Never knew that as dad's 80 was slow between farms is the reason he traded it. As good as the 80 was I always he should have keep it just leaving it at the home place. Do not think he got much for it as no hydraulic and crank start. To my thinking cheap power as well as another 4 row cultivator can pay for itself in a hurry.

You 2 may both be right. There were 2 different speeds offered for both the 80 row crop and the 80 standard. With the regular transmission 4th is about 6 mile an hour. With high speed 4th gear that almost doubles. Look at the serial number tag and look at the 2 numbers behind the letter C. Then post that and I can tell you if you have the standard or optional 4th gear.
