Oliver RC 77 hydraulic unit

Guy has a 1949 RC 77 with hydraulic unit with handles on top
and a filter housing. That is the not the original unit for that
tractor right? I know J. S. has mentioned this before just
can?t find it.

That is correct. Group 3 units were introduced with the Super series in 1954. More questions?

pic from my 77D. Type I with no filter, but newer sower that has cast brake cover. I can't see the SN tag. I bought it from first bought buyer across from my farm so I've now since new.

Thanks Ian for confirming no filter. I looked in my device manual and unit is just like yours on my 77.

I wroke the wrong Type I, your and mine are Type II, see the where the stubs sticl out. My wroking is bad stroke talking.

Ian, No problem are the studs to bypass the electric controls?

Not exactly, if the levers hand by used to use non Oliver hydraulic cylinder.

My first 77 had that pump. The levers clamped to the shaft.

Those are group one units as group 2 units have filters and they came with handles on the sides which take longer shafts to attach the side handles to.
