High hours on 1850

I know when looking at a car, if a car has over 100,000 miles, you tend to know that before too long, things are going to start failing and going bad throw normal wear and tear like bearings, pumps, gaskets, etc and you tend to stay away buying the car unless the price is so good.

Now with some model cars like Hondas, BMWs Mercedes, etc. 100,000 miles is nothing because of the quality of the model.

For example I know that less than 5000 hours on an 1850 diesel is considered low hours and usually brings a higher price and higher demand for the tractor, depending on the cosmetic appaearence also.

What would be considered high hours on a 1850 diesel that would make you think twice before buying it? Maybe hours like 7000+ , 8000+, 10,000+ ?

Condition and maintenance records....plus price....are greater factors than hours when determining a purchase. That said, 10000 hours is high for any tractor of that vintage.
