Located a Cockshutt 30 Diesel. Have to go pick it up soon as weather is not so cold.Have 40 Diesel and 50 Diesel. Life is good. Unless there was a 20 Diesel. LOL Well possibly someday I need an Oliver 80 like dad had. While ago one of the boys suggested finding a well abused 20 and putting a small Diesel in frame.

I had a 30 diesel I bought back in the 1980's from a guy down in NC,sold it a couple years ago to a fellow in the Shenandoah Valley think they only built about 200 of them.I still
have an offset 20 called a Little Chief, its one row instead of the 2 row like most 20's.It still has the Indian Chief decal on the hood, bought it down in NC.Supposedly they were only
built for tobacco farms in NC.FCX the coop down there at the time sold Coop/Cockshutts then.Last I heard only 7 of the Little Chief tractors had been found.

OK Bruce, how I must research the 35 as to Diesel. Never thought of that. I was told just now that the first very few 35's had either 6 cy engines or holes in tub. I am not into the 500 and later Cockshutts . Guess the 35 is half way to the 500 series as they were rather a test of the draft control for the 550 etc. Anybody having information on possibly 35 Diesel let me know. No the Oliver was an 80 gas. However a neighbor had one of the very last row crop 80's . Some older locals say his 80 had a starter. Could it have been ordered made from a standard 80?

For something unique I built a tractor for pulling,has a 540 rear,40 tub frame and a 35 front end,6 cylinder AC 262 engine off a C Gleaner.Call it a Coop E4 will go into the 4000 lb class.

I thought rowcrops were not fitted with a starter ring on the flywheel (no space, even?), and standards would not have adjustable axles?

I have a well abused 20 but I am also lucky enough to own an e3 diesel and a e5 diesel the 35 was only kind of the gateway to the 500 series the golden arrow was which did have the front half of a 35
