Just curious, maybe someone can explain it to me. My 1550 row crop has the -502 high speed transmission and I'm not looking to change it. The high speed shifter has the low range in the forward position but the regular has it rearward. Looking at the parts diagram there is no difference in the gear callouts except for one pair that is listed as "low speed tractor". Nothing pertaining to the high speed option. I'm wondering if the difference is nothing more than flipping the range gears around. The high speeds are only on 5th and 6th. 1 thru 4 are actually a little slower, which I like. Can anyone enlighten me?
