Hydraulic source for power steering 770

Hi all, I am sure this question has been asked numerous times, but I thought I would try a new thread.
I have a 770 that had the power steering pump mounted to the end of the generator. I would like to convert this tractor to an alternator for a couple of reasons the
primary ones are the generator is shot and I have had trouble finding a replacement voltage regulator that would last. The other reason is also most everything we have
around here is negative ground so I like to be somewhat consistent.

Does anyone make an alternator that the pump would mount on?
Can I use the existing hydraulic system? If so what ports do I need to tap into and do I need some type of flow regulator?
Can or could someone post how and where the lines would go.

I know that (lots of) cars had a power steering pump attached to the alternator, but don?t know if a) they would pump fast enough for a tractor, or b) if they make them for lorries (trucks in your part of the world?). Affixing your particular pump to an alternator may not be viable.

Crankshaft driven pumps are a possibility, or a second separate belt driven pump?

Didn?t some of the later 770?s have a belt driven pump mounted up higher with the dip stick- filler above the hood. Would require cutting a 2 inch hole through the hood. Might require adding another pulle6 somewhere on the front of the engine.
