working on an oliver 70 and I am looking for a complete governor for it- including the front cover with the linkage rod -- it is a 1939 anybody out there know where I can find one ? the local yards have nothing -- thanks in advance! Roy

3 gear or 5 gear engine. A serial number would help!

If the mag is on the right side it’s a 3 gear . 5 gear the mag is on the left side

It is a 3 gear on the right --its an early 39- cant remember the ser. no. - hope this helps a bit! Roy

Too bad you didnt post this a couple months earlier. Had a 1939 70 with a 3 gear engine with a good governor. Took the parts off from it that I needed. Tried to sell the rest of the parts including the governor. I couldn't even give them away. Hauled it to a scrapper a about 2 months ago.

Did you call the guy in the ad I posted? The last picture to the right in the top row,shows one of those governors sticking right out in the open.
