I'm at wits end again. What is this supposed to look like in there? I can't get the lever to go over center. I have the adjusting ring tightened up to where the discs and plates are just starting to drag. I put the whole entire tractor back together, every last bolt, started it up and drove it ahead to where the natural light was better then crawled under it to adjust it that way and everything had slid so far ahead that three of the fiber discs had come out the front of the spider.
When I took it apart,I had a pin out of each of those chain link things that attach the throw out bearing to the floating plate. Did I get those back in wrong? I don't see how the geometry would be right if they were flipped so that throw out bearing sleeve was back farther. Shouldn't those three fingers come back against the adjusting ring? The only way I can get them back there is to loosen the ring up so far that there's no way the clutch plates will even drag, much less engage right. Even then nothing locks and goes over center.
I have the washers back in the grooves in the shaft for the fork where they belong,so that's not the issue. I don't know where to go from here. I didn't have any parts left over when I got it together. I know one thing,it came apart easier the second time than it did the first.
