Does anyone know the preload or clearance of the bearings in the PTO housing ?
My repair manual does not make a mention of it.

My White/Oliver service manual for the 55 series does not call out any specifications on this. I remember looking for that as well, as I just had mine apart. I just looked through the 2-85, 2-105 & 2-150 Service manual I just bought through AGCO, online, and it does not call anything out on this either. However, I did notice at the dealer today, when I was paging through the old original service manual, there are some differences, only minor in some areas, so maybe someone else with an old paper version has different information.

Thanks,
The parts breakdown does not show any shims so I take it none was provided.
I installed new bearings on both shafts and the longer one of the two has 5 thou play whereas the short one has zero play.
So I'll put a 5 thou shim behind the cone of the big bearing and see how that works out.
