I talked to my retired mechanic friend who worked on a lot of big tractors out here. I explained to him your situation with the 4-150. After he got done swearing and saying it was one of the worst articulated tractors ever rushed to market, he calmly directed me to some dusty binders. He said most of the powertrain problems were rooted in the fact the motor had no rear motor mounts and even the update to install the rear support was garbage. However I digress....

I found GE-30-104, the quill shaft support installation, and GE-30-105, quill shaft update. I'll try to figure out how to attach PDFs...

Thanks!

I know they have their issues but they are cheap horsepower and they are a nice tractor to run. Biggest issue with mine is that it was one of
the first ones built, doesnt appear to have received to many updates along the way, and whoever has owned it over the last 40 years should
have never been allowed to own tools, or any equipment at all really. 90% of the fixes I have done to this thing since I bought it are just
unfixing the "farmer fixes" that have been done to it.

Well the good news is I can tell you he says they never had a problem with the steering rams

I sent them in two separate emails. Good luck.
