4-150 Quill Shaft Support Seal Location

Does anybody have a good picture from the service manual of the two seal locations in the quill shaft support? I thought my manual showed them but it doesnt and the breakdown on AGCO Parts Books doesnt make any sense. It shows the large seal in between the output shaft needle bearings and that doesnt make a lick of sense. Logic would want them behind both bearings to force the oil back towards the transmission. Apparently somebody had this thing apart at some point and failed to put new seals in so the originals were non existent.

Do you have a copy or have access to 4-150 / 4-180 Drive Train TECHNICAL SERVICE MANUAL? It is form 433 666 dated December 1974. This manual is the master Instructors guide to a slide set used for training during Branch Service Schools. Maybe I can help you.

I have it but it only has one cut away picture of that quill shaft support and it doesnt even show any seals in it.

There was one or two service bulletins about that area. I'll go down and dig in the tote and see if I can find them. May not get to it till Sunday, company tomorrow.

I got it figured out after a couple phone calls to Maibach. The early style quill bearings like mine didn?t use seals, they just relied on the seals in the three speed.
