Hello,

A later David Brown 990 (selectomatic?) popped up here on CL. I believe the Oliver 600? is a rebranded 950? Is that correct? Does the 990 share any parts with the Oliver? It's close enough that it be worth kicking tires if it had any Oliver ties... Thanks.

The 600 was based on the 950. The 990 has a bigger engine, more HP.

I'm sure there are many shared parts around the 2 machines, but don't know of any list or anything that would highlight them.

David Brown seems to have done a lot of "parts bin engineering" in that there was a lot of shared parts where it would work. My Oliver 500 (late DB850 based) shares lots of parts with the Oliver 600 (DB950 based). Other than sheet metal stuff, the following are the same

Front axle, spindles and hubs
Rear axle and final drives
3 point
PTO gearbox

There may be other things like steering box and some transmission parts, but I have not dug into any of that yet.

Here's what I've got. I don't know how readable it is. Somebody in England off a DB forum sent it to me. I don't know if I have it in the right order or not.
