I believe this tractor is actually an Oliver tractor with Waukesha 6 cylinder diesel engine. The engine is being rebuilt. We have been unable to find the procedure for installing and timing of the bosch injection pump. Also we haven't been able figure out the exact model of the engine. The number 264660 is stamped into the block flange where the alternator is mounted. Any help with these items would be greatly appreciated! Thank You

It could be one or two of these, but not all three. 1550 is six cylinders, but would not have a Bosch pump, nor be a 1984. Six cylinder Bosch pump wouldn't be a 1550. An Oliver Waukesha would have two casting numbers, the Waukesha number and the Oliver number. Take some detailed pictures and you'll have to ask for permission to post unless been on here a while.

Wow! The statement about the 1550 was based paper work that came with the new parts. As you can tell, I am not at all familiar with this tractor. Their are other casting numbers and I will try and get them tomorrow and post them Thank You

Hard to tell really a lot of things can get changed over 35 years.Couple of numbers on the left side of the block as you sit on the seat would tell something, also the casting number on the head.

That stamped number is the engine serial number. I used to keep a record of all the tractors we sold in a notebook. When they went to the 55 series I keep that information on 3 X 5 cards. That information stayed at the dealer when I left but that number is for a late engine. Roosa Master pumps were first used in 1960, blocks with the flange cast into the block for supporting the alternator were first cast in 1964.

Ok, I have to apologize for the confusion on the injection pump. It is a rossa masters pump. He had a bosch pump laying their also and I looked at the wrong one. The following numbers were found on the left side of the block 185320, 180918A and 10113. The number 264660 is stamped on the flange where the alternator mounts. Hopefully you can straighten me out on what he has where we can get a injection pump timing procedure. Thank You all very much.

That 180 number is a 160 number. Do you know how to find TDC on that engine? You need to find TDC for number one cylinder. Is the starter on the engine?

Yes, we know where TDC is and no the starter is not on the engine yet. In fact the engine is still in the rebuild stand. One important piece of information we are missing is the timing spec of degrees before TDC.

Sir, The engine is about 12 miles away so it might be a day or so before I can get the pump model. I will get it as soon as I can and get it to you. Thank You.

Well I will be out of town(out of state) from Monday till next Sunday. I can look it up and get you close before I leave. J.

I am sorry that I couldn't get the numbers any sooner but the mechanic was gone for the week end. The model # is DDGFC 627-2DH and the serial # is 1217959. I look forward to hearing from you when you have a chance.
