Plow question for 770-880 tractors

What would have been the Oliver plow of
choice sold in the mid 60's for a 770 with
the power traction hitch? I know several
would work, but which one would be time
correct? Thanks to all.

Check on the Ford N forum. I think Royse bought one of those not too long ago. He's most likely to be on that forum. I don't know if he still has it or not,but it's worth a shot.

I bought one last summer for my 770. I still had these pictures on my phone.

I had one of those for a little while. I pulled it with a 706 Farmall. I still have a big scar on the back of my hand where I severed the tendons to my thumb with it. I bought it at the sale in Archbold and apparently it came from someplace where they didn't have stones and the bottoms had never been tripped. I hit a rock and tripped one and it wouldn't come down to reset. I stuck a bar in the moldboard brake and pried down on it. The bar shipped and my hand went down between the moldboard and razor sharp cover board.

Make sure you're not close to a fence post when you turn. It is very good at removing post if you're too close.

I don?t recall ours having a hydraulic cylinder. Seems like the linkage that attached to the drawbar somehow controlled the tail wheel. It?s been gone a long time though and I was just a kid. A 4-14? pulled by 880 gas.

The hyd cyl is for side hill shift. You can "crowd" the plow uphill so your furrow is straight. Works very good.
