Locked up 66

Used my 1951 fleetline 66 gas burner a couple of weeks ago, tried to start it Wednesday and the motor is locked up removed the spark plugs and starter and can only move the flywheel a couple of notches prying on the starter ring with a big screwdriver. Anybody have any idea what has happened to it. It was running perfect with good oil pressure when I parked it and put a cover(can) on top of the muffler. Anybody have any ideas what happened?? I had thought about using acetone and atf injected in the spark plug holes but some think that it won?t help, another mentioned a dropped valve when I parked it. Anybody have anymore ideas, I?m desperate as my retirement machinery sale is Dec 8th.

Got to thinking while trying to sleep, maybe moisture in hydraulic system froze up the pump, what do you think??

I'd pull the PTO long shaft out a little ways and try again before I got too deep in the engine.

That might depend on your location and the weather!

Ice in the rear axle/gearbox can give the same symptoms. I suppose the tractor might even be in gear with the brakes on - but that might allow just a tad more flywheel movement.

probably stuck in gear and not motor related. If it's been below freezing heat it up, if that doesn't help lift the rear and then try turning the motor.

I start with what requires the least amount of fooling around and work my way up till I find the problem.

Frozen condensation in hyd pump, warm weather thawed it out, then I hooked to one hose and pushed the lever and blew it out, refilled the lift with diesel fuel, switched the hose a couple of times so I could clean it out good. Replaced the oil and everything works good. I was very lucky I think.
