I need something explained to me.
The utility steering system on an Oliver 1855 I’m looking to buy as compared to another 1855 utility front end I found on YouTube.
My possible 1855 is using hydraulic rams for steering the tractor. While the YouTube tractor uses what looks like an OEM setup that can be adapted for either a long wheel base or short utility wheel base.
Looking at the tractor with the rams closely, I can see that the hydraulic ram mounts are welded to the cast iron top spindle links.
