I am going through the brakes on my 1855 and got the right side done, now onto the left side, and I noticed there is a groove worn into the brake piston from the bull pinion shaft. I popped the piston out of the cover, and the little knob that goes into the cover is snapped off. The brakes are fairly new on this side, so were they run down too far at one time causing the groove and the knob to snap off? I am also replacing the brake piston o rings because of leakage out the hole in the bottom of the housing. If I find out that it is actually coming from the pinion shaft seal, how do I go about doing that? I was contemplating taking the brake housing off, but am scared the pinion shaft would come with it and possibly have a hard time lining it back up again. Any help would be great! Thank you
