I'm ready to install the sleeves back into the 770 block. What to use for lube? Mineral oil? White Grease? oil?? Also anything to watch out for?

The O rings at the bottom of the sleeves arent suppose to contact anything with petroleum in it. So no oil. I always use dishsoap and cover the the bottom of the sleeve in it. Occasionally slight tapping is needed. Havent had a problem yet.

Liquid soap is the prefered lube, but when I put my Super 55 together this past summer,my son who does this stuff for a living told me to use plumbers pipe dope paste like you'd use for pipe fittings. It'll harden up and keep the o-rings from leaking for sure. My block was pretty rough and it hasn't leaked. That stuff's pretty slippery and they went right in with no problem.
